The marble is a rich sun-drenched dark brown with hints of auburn found in Turkey.
The image was inspired from a magazine photo of a cowboy, at the end of a long day of rustling horses, relaxing against a barn door, pleased with the labors of the day. His chin is tilted down, so that his hat shields his face. The sun warms his bare skin. A tiny bead of sweat is the only evidence of the exertion of the day.
He is strong and elegant. He is capable and confident. He is humble and beautiful.
